Prada was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada, Miuccia Prada’s grandfather, in Milan.Located in the prestigious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Prada was an exclusive, stylish store selling luggage, accessories and luxury goods, in fine materials and of sophisticated workmanship.
Prada now produces men’s and women’s leather goods, clothing and footwear, combining contemporary, cutting-edge sophistication with one-of-a-kind, sublimely-crafted products. Prada also operates in the eyewear, fragrance and mobile phone sectors.
Prada has in total, twelve (12) stores in London, including concessions. It’s flagship store is located in London, Sloane Street. Prada distributes it’s goods by two (2) distribution channels. First, ‘retail channel’ which is represented by Prada themselves, meaning the are run by the brand. Second, ‘independent channel’ which includes selling to multi-brand stores, department stores and franchises via wholesale.

Series of dark, tailored looks, mixed with high necks, long hemlines and a colour palette of minty, lime green, black, brown and tangerine (a key colour for the season) and the feeling of artisanal luxury was demonstrated in the use of exquisite materials at the Summer / Spring 2015 Prada show. Overall the colours featured were mainly browns and black with many bags showing curved lines in colour blocked patterns.
